the big decision.

I've decided to stop wearing the kilt. The reasons are varied, some obvious (chaffing), others more subtle (neighbor's kilt better than mine), but I feel it's time to move on to different garb. I want to thank all who have supported me these past few months. The process was trying and your encouragement meant a lot. It made me realize that I wasn't just wearing the kilt for myself, I was wearing it for all of you as well. Now there were a few detractors (teenage sons of neighbor with better kilt, crossing guard at end of street, our cat.) May I just say to them that your words did hurt and at times I still feel broken by them. I hope you're happy. But this isn't a time for remorse; this is a time for joy. I call on everyone whose life I've touched with my tartan splendor to celebrate!
