SPOILER ALERT: If you don't want to find out what's become of the cast members of "Beverly Hills 90210" before the Fox special "’The Beverly Hills 90210’ High School Reunion" (Sunday night, 9pm Est.), don't read any further. What lies below is the lowdown on what's happened to who since the show went off the air.
Jennie Garth "Kelly Taylor"
After a couple of failed television ventures Jennie has had some recent success with her WB sitcom "What I Like About You". She's married to the actor Peter Facinelli (Van Ray on Fox's "Fastlane") and they have two young daughters.
Jason Priestly "Brandon Walsh"
Jason has appeared in a couple of feature films since leaving Beverly Hills 90210, but has focused his career mainly on producing and directing. He says his "90210" experience often comes in handy while directing because he finds his constant use of the word "bro" is effective in creating a positive working relationship with his actors. Last year Jason suffered multiple injuries in a race car accident, but he is near fully recovered.
Shannon Doherty "Brenda Walsh"
Shannon's name never seems to be out of the tabloids. She tries to lead a private life, but something about being a difficult, difficult person makes that hard to do. She starred in the WB's Bewitched/Buffy/Charlie's Angels rip-off "Charmed" but left the show last year to pursue her career in being an even more difficult person. Currently, Shannon is on her seventeenth marriage, this time to a hotel bellhop she met in Reno. There is still no theory as to why she has never dealt with her bad teeth.
Ian Ziering "Steve Sanders"
Dead.
Gabrielle Carteris "Andrea Zuckerman Vasquez"
Left the show after the 5th season. Since then has tried to answer the question "What Was I thinking?" Perhaps she was tired of being upstaged by Tori Spelling and Brian Austin Green, two cooler and better looking actors than she is. Gabrielle had a failed talk show in the mid 90s that luckily for her lasted three weeks longer than Tempest Bledsoe's ("The Cosby Show") failed talk show. This year Gabrielle tried to make a comeback by appearing on the reality program "This Surreal Life" but was upstaged by Corey Feldman and Vince Neil.
Luke Perry "Dylan McKay"
Luke has worked in a number of movies and television shows. He's made a clear effort to establish some street cred by taking a turn as an inmate in the gritty HBO prison drama "Oz" and by appearing in a number of Phillipino snuff films. Luke recently announced his divorced from his wife of nine years. No word yet on when he plans to show up at Jennie Garth's window begging for her forgiveness and love.
Tori Spelling "Donna Martin"
Dead.
Kathleen Robertson "Claire Arnold"
Dead.
James Eckhouse "Jim Walsh"
Not sure, but probably dead.
Carol Potter "Cindy Walsh"
Alive.
Mark Damon Espinoza "Jesse Vasquez"
Who cares?
Brian Austin Green "David Silver"
He became "Brianna Austin Green" in March of 2003. Brianna feels this is the key move that will finally jump-start her/his thus far extremely disappointing rap career.
Tiffany Amber Thiessen "Valerie Malone"
Since the end of "90210", Tiffany has appeared on the covers of many men's magazines. I should know: I have each and every one of them. She currently stars on the Fox drama "Fastlane" with, coincidentally enough, Jennie Garth's husband, Peter Facinelli. In her free time Tiffany continues to run the night club The Peach Pit After Dark and is having an affair with Peter Facinelli. While conflicted about the affair (Jennie Garth is an old friend, after all), she feels it's best for her career right now and that's the bottom line. Sometimes late at night I line up all her magazine covers and do a sexy dance in front of them. Not every night. Just some nights. Honest.
This post is dedicated to elephants, the Sahara Desert, and the supporting cast of "Barney Miller".
