TERRY GILLETT AND HER FRIEND ANNETTE: Inducted June 19, 2003. Posted 06/19/2003 07:56 AM by cmonks in Utter Wonder Hall Of Fame.
Today's inductees are Terry Gillett and her friend Annette. A duo so hip/happenin' they rhyme. Some may find it curious that although Terry gave her surname, Annette did not. I do not know the reason for this. I'm hoping that Annette is simply just "Annette", like "Cher" and "Sinbad". Where has Sinbad been lately, anyway? I miss his kind touch and parachute pants. Annette strikes me as one who has a kind touch as well. Something about that name that does it for me, I guess. My interpretive dance teacher in middle school was named Annette. She was a wondrous woman, so full of life and jazz hands. Nobody looked better in an orange leotard than my interpretive dance teacher, Annette. She rocked my world. People brave and courageous rock my word, too. That's why I'm pleased to induct Terry Gillett and her friend Annette into Utter Wonder's Hall of Fame. Unlike other people, Terry Gillett and her friend Annette comprehend the magnitude of what appearing on Utter Wonder means. They understand the power the it achieves. They get it. So let's give them both the honor of gazing at their photo for at least five seconds, like we do for all inductees. One one-thousand. Two one-thousand. Three one-thousand. Four-one thousand. Five one-thousand. I always find that very meditative. There's a particular calming quality to the photograph of Terry Gillett (left) and her friend Annette (right), almost as though they are heavily sedated, perhaps from four or five too many Gin and Tonics. That's fine with me. I am only a day away from two-week vacation and I have already thought about just how many G&Ts I'm going to have each day. Best to plan things out, I say. For instance: I shall vomit from over-drinking every third day. I sent Terry Gillett and her friend Annette a signed copy of a fan letter I sent Star Jones as a token of my appreciation. The letter was more than suitable for framing. No word on whether Terry Gillett and her friend Annette have framed it yet. One can only hope that they have.
