JOANIE/DA GODDESS: Inducted September 22, 2003. Posted 09/22/2003 07:51 AM by cmonks in Utter Wonder Hall Of Fame.
Today's inductee is Joanie/Da Goddess, a recent newcomer to the comments field of this site. She also happens to own and operate her own blog that I fear attracts thousands and thousands of more readers than this one. I can live with that. I mean, I know this site only caters to a certain reader. Heck, if I wanted it to be more popular I'd post frisky pictures of myself or talk about how much I hate PBS, the French, and fat people. But that's not me. Neither is this. Regardless, it's nice to have someone from a position of blog power that recognizes how important it is to be in the UWHOF. So now, as we always do with UWHOF enshrinements, let's gaze at Joanie/Da Goddess' photograph for a period not shorter than five seconds. one-one thousand two-one thousand three-one thousand four-one thousand five-one thousand Good. Well done. I'll give those who need more time a few more moments to gaze and admire. ... Okay, so what does everybody think of her photograph? I like its Warholesque stylings, it codes glamour and hipness and not wanting to share a regular photograph for fear of being ostracized. Joanie/Da Goddess' photo is the first black and white image submitted to the Hall of Fame. That's fine with me; the Hall is firmly committed to accepting and celebrating people of all races and backgrounds. Yes, the photo is at the cusp of non-acceptance as detailed in a previous induction, but still I'm pretty sure that it's actually her. I mean, she is probably in color in real life, but I've decided to accept her application for admittance in the UWHOF anyway. Joanie/Da Goddess is also the first inductee to have two different names, each with no last name, to boot! Unless of course "Da Goddess" is considered a full name, with "Da" being the first name and "Goddess" the surname. Regardless, she's the first and dare I bet (I dare!) only inductee that will have a backslash in her name(s). Or wait; is that a forward slash? Hmm. I always get them confused. The top part of a "/" goes forward, but if you look at it another way it leans back from the first word it separates. Hmm. God. Hate this. Have totally lost my focus now. Darn it. Anyway, I hereby officially induct Joanie/Da Goddess into Utter Wonder's Hall of Fame. Please visit her blog today and salute her bravery and courage and intestinal blah-blah-blah. She deserves it. For her efforts Joanie/Da Goddess received a signed copy of a fan letter I wrote to Star Jones. Jealous? Well, succumb to your jealousy by being the next applicant for the UWHOF. All inductees get a Star Jones fan letter, as well as their name officially enshrined into the Hall of Fame section in the right hand column of this website. It's a good deal. So make it with me. Send, send, send!
