The Return of the Blogvent Calendar.

Posted 12/01/2004 07:23 AM by cmonks in > happy holidays to you.

merry frickin' xmas. It's December and with it comes the wonderfully delightful holiday season where everything is snowy and white and Christian-centered. Thus as I did last year I shall celebrate this magical time of faith and buying stuff with a Blogvent Calendar.

Yes, this will be my second annual Blogvent Calendar. The first annual Blogvent Calendar was a hit of such epic proportions that nearly 37 people visited this site over the course of its run. That means I touched nearly a whole 37 people's lives with my poignant tribute to the best holiday of all time. Nearly 37 people! Bite me, Instapundit!

For those of you that somehow forgot how the Blogvent Calendar works, it's very simple. In fact it's so simple it should win a trophy for its simplicity! Why I haven't received some sort of trophy or plaque for this invention is beyond me. I'd even settle for a ribbon. Or a pat on the back. It really sucks not being recognized for this achievement. Anyway, the way the Blogvent Calendar works is that at the end of each day's entry you'll see a cute little Christmassy icon on the bottom right of the screen. Simply click on it to reveal a Blogvent Calendar holiday surprise. Here, practice on today's inaugural Blogvent Calendar entry below. I'll wait.

Good. Well done. I have no idea if it worked for you or not, but I'll just play the optimist and act like it did. Was that a great holiday surprise or what? Yep, I think you'll agree that with one little click of your mouse it just got a whole lot more Christmassy up in here. Holla!

Alrighty, that should do it. Be sure to click on each day's Blogvent surprise from now until December 24th. They actually are kind of a pain to do and it would be a disappointment if people forgot about them. Not that I'm not used to disappointment or anything, of course. Story of my life.

Happy Holidays!
