Seeing as how the media and the Boulder district attorney hurled us this bomb of a John Karr story, lodging all of its painful shrapnel in our nine-year old wounds of sadness and bad memories, I figure I'd help future investigators by ruling out a few more suspects for them.

Dikembe Mutombo

Left the Denver Nuggets after the 1995-96 season as a free agent, and signed with the Altlanta Hawks. Obviously not in Colorado at the time of the murder.

John Denver

Died October 12, 1997. Dead for two full months before the murder.

Can't actually rule him out, but I can however rule in favor of his tough-talking, no bullshit attitude:

I pity the fool! I pity the investigator that didn't do any research on this freaky mcnutface of a suspect! I pity the media that sucks the life out of everyone by exploiting a horrible decade-old crime repeatedly for advertising dollars! I pity myself for paying too much attention to this story and not doing more important things, like playing Halo 2!

I'm going to go play more Halo 2, and shun cable news for at least a few more days. Someone tell me if they find Jimmy Hoffa's body again.
