Well, it's been less than a week and already my fishing for Googling zeitgeist-anistas has paid off. Last night somebody Googled for "carmen electra catfights" and was led to Utter Wonder. That's right, this site is second from the top of the page when you Google "carmen electra catfights". In Spanish. Regardless, I couldn't be more proud. While there was no mention of Donald Rumsfeld in the search term, I still count this as a victory for me and my continued quest to be the most popular fair-to-middling blogger of all time. Yay me.

In other news, a commenter wrote in to say he saw me on the CBS Evening News last Friday night. Apparently, my performance on DriveTime where I read aloud my heartbreaking poem "Donuts and the Car Wash" was deemed newsworthy. Anybody see this? Better yet, anybody TiVo this. I missed it. Would love to have a look. And don't worry, I won't make fun of you for TiVo-ing the CBS Evening News. I mean, it's kind of lame, but whatever. You TiVo the Weather Channel too, right? Yeah, that's the sign of a true champion. Yikes.

Finally, in an effort to make you feel warm and fuzzy and to give you a trickle of hope that the world is all right, I give you this: flash animations by kindergartners. Haley's and Wyatt's are my favorites, but all are worth checking out. You'll be thanking me for showing you this for the rest of your life.
