Kenny-J kicked me of his website. We've trading some pretty amusing e-mails (he is really uptight) but I was getting pretty bored with it so I just went ahead and offended him. The temptation had just been too great and resisting was starting to take a toll on my health. But don't worry, C. I did only in a personal e-mail and in such a way as to keep you out of it. You should really appreciate the amount of restraint that I show. It would be like you going to the donut kingdom for the Halo playoffs and having to only eat dry Grape Nuts while performing some form of work.

Man, he's cribbing Doodleday too now? What a dink.

Charlie, as soon as my autographed Letter to Star Jones comes back from the framer, I'd be happy to re-gift it to you. Stay strong, brave warrior.

Yeah, I'd ease up a bit on Jennings' message board. Otherwise, you risk looking like the very people you're mocking.

Posted by: cmonks at 10/04/2006 11:09 AM

I have to respectfully disagree with you C. I would still keep it humorous rather than nasty, but I wouldn't recommend easing up. I think constant annoyance is the way to go. But then again, I'm a really annoying guy and never totally got that whole "enough is enough" concept.

Word.

Posted by: Drama Queen at 10/04/2006 11:40 AM

Well, I know I don't like being called a quitter. I like to just pop in every once in a while to see if they're still talking about us. And then just let them know that we're still here. And how I know where they live.

BTW: Thanks Drama Queen, but C, being the honest non-copying sort of guy that he is, already sent me my letter.
I was going to frame mine too but I couldn't find a frame that would still allow me to use my laptop. So instead I keep it in the same file as all the porn that I photoshopped Star Jones head onto. It's inspirational!!!

maybe the ken jennings war was a neat and kind of ironic idea in theory, but in execution it's juvenile and tribal. in short, it's lame. i've always been a big fan of utter wonder, but now the funny has just done and gone away.

I agree and I apologize.

Ken could have been a better sport about it. But you are our leader, and you have ordained that we get a life. Okay, now what? Awaiting further instructions.

I've been thrown from Kenny-J's kingdom, so it's a moot point for me. And I certainly think that whatever you all choose to do with your internet time is just fine and dandy. But I am just totally offended at the way michael murry says juvenile and tribal like it's a bad thing. I don't pick on your personal traits do I?

Posted by: Charlie at 10/04/2006 04:56 PM

Yeah, this thing pretty much got screwed up. I just returned to Jennings' board for the first time since last week and it seems the tone of things has gotten out of hand.

Bascially, we've turned a stupid little made-up blog feud into a lesson on how to be obnoxious jerks on the Internet. And I'm the face of it.

Terrific.

Posted by: cmonks at 10/04/2006 06:54 PM

That's okay. You got no celebrity-cred.

Posted by: simpleton01 at 10/04/2006 07:15 PM

wasn't it awesome when ken jennings won like 30 times in a row on Hollywood Squares!?

The problem there, guys, was that everybody except maybe Drama Queen came off as really pretty rude and pointless. The "humor" got lost in translation, if it was ever there. Just my two doughnuts worth.

"maybe" Drama Queen? maybe rude? maybe funny? Hmm.

Oopsy! That "Anonymous" post is mine.

Posted by: Drama Queen at 10/05/2006 06:13 PM

LIAR! That was MY post

Man I hate when I have a busy week. I miss all the good stuff. Anyway, I have to say sometimes things got a little "personal" from both sides. They just want to protect their fearless leader. Sometimes fun, sometimes just a teensy bit petty.
