The 50th Inductee Into Utter Wonder's Hall of Fame. Posted 05/31/2007 07:04 AM by cmonks in > uw hall of fame inductions.
I think this speaks to the true power of the Hall. It cannot be denied. People try to ignore it away, but the power that resides in the UWHOF is too powerful to ignore. Or else people just can't stomach watching a snake regurgitating a hippo. Either way, the Hall finally has its 50th inductee: Roman Vogel. Roman works at the University of Vermont. Prior to that he worked in the receiving department of a bookstore with somebody you know very well whose name rhymes with "G Bonks." Yes, some might say his induction is a conflict of interest, but those people are just petty troublemakers with lame shirts. Besides, I'm neither conflicted by or particularly interested in Roman, so you see it's all on the up and up. Actually, that's not true at all; I am very interested in Roman, for he has bailed me out and helped revived the Hall. The other inductees are appreciative, as well: Whitney Pastorek is thrilled to be able to tell somebody new that she is an important writer for Entertainment Weekly; Reed Gleason is happy to have another person to admire tall grass with; and Timber Matheson is just happy because, well, he's special. So now let's do like we always do and stare at our inductee's photo for a period of time no shorter than five seconds. Begin! One-one thousand... Two-one thousand... Three-one thousand... Four-one thousand... Five-one thousand... Well done! So what do we think of Roman's photo? I myself can't help but be inspired by his patriotism. I mean, what's more patriotic than the grand ole flag and a healthy love of motherhood? Nothing. Roman epitomizes everything that is good about America. Those sunglasses are a nice touch too; protection from harmful UV rays is important message to send to our nation's youth. God bless you, Roman! Please stay away from my mother! So without further ado I hereby officially induct Roman Vogel into Utter Wonder's Hall of Fame. For his efforts Roman has received a signed copy of a fan letter I sent Star Jones. Chances are he's already got the sucker framed. It's that kind of awesome. And you too can have one of very own. All you have to do is send me a real-honest-to-goodness photo of yourself and the you'll be on your way to blog hall of fame infamy. So get to work!
