Consider Yourself Warned.

Last Christmas, Donna Hoffman, an ardent environmentalist who lives in Austin, Tex., came up with an unlikely gift for each member of her family: an energy-efficient compact fluorescent light bulb.

"I wanted to connect through the gift-giving tradition,” said Ms. Hoffman, 45, who works as a coordinator for the Sierra Club. “I also wanted to communicate my own deeply-felt environmental conviction.” - New York Times, Nov. 25, 2007

That has to be the most horrifying thing I have ever read. Light bulbs? For Christmas? If any of you get me light bulbs for Christmas, environmentally-friendly or otherwise, I will throw them back in your stupid face.

My Thanksgiving was wonderful. Thank you for asking. Hope yours was the same.

This post is dedicated to fixing this place up.

My Thanksgiving was great, thanks for asking. And if you really want to fix your place up, try changing your bulbs.

What is it that you do want for Christmas? More stuff? I think efficient lightbulbs (that happen to cost a bit more but save in the long run) are a great gift idea.

I want world peace for Christmas, Elizabeth. Or is that not environmentally-friendly enough for you?

And if I can't have world peace I'd like a Transformer of some sort. I have no idea what they're about, but they seem to be all the rage.

Global warming is a major cause of conflict and war, especially in Africa...so, your chances of getting world peace for Christmas would be improved if you conserve energy and reduce emissions by using CFLs...how's that?!
