I Guess This is To Expected When You're a Relatively Obscure Fair-To-Midding Blogger.

tytyty.jpgI don't know what to do about this (scroll down). I'm afraid I have opened the doors of this blog to a swarm of nerds. (Or is it a pack of nerds? Pride of nerds? Don't answer. If you do it means you're a nerd.) Sure, they're harmless enough and pretty much contain their nerdtivity to the two posts on this blog that are devoted to the Irish Tenor. But still, I'm worried their nerdness is going to rub off on me.

My wardrobe won't be able to handle that.

Their nerdy presence has already made Utter Wonder the third site from the top for a Google search of " Dr. Ronan Tynan." I almost find that too much to process. The third site from the top? Any day now, Dr. Ronan Tynan will show up on my doorstep smacking one of his prosthetic legs in his hand, itching to pummel me.

Still, there is something to be said for all this excess nerd action. Because of it, I have received thousands upon thousands of extra hits a day. Yes, most if not all of them are by the same dozen or so people who seemingly check and recheck and recheck again for a new comment about Ronan Tynan, but a hit is a hit -- no matter how nerdy the hitter.

But that's not the reason I started this blog. No, I started this blog to meet chicks and become famous. So it's hard to sit back and let a handful of well-meaning but nerdy people, who based on their comments seem to know next to nothing about me and my blog and are solely visiting the site to make Full House-level jokes about the Irish Tenor, Ronan Tynan. (I could live with "Two And a Half Men"-level jokes, but "Full House"?) Plus they keep referring to the other Tynan post I wrote as another "blog." It's like they're from 1997 or something.

Anyway, I'm at a loss. Not sure what to do about it. Any advice would be much appreciated. In the mean time, I'm going to head to Sears and shop for some clothes, you know, just to be prepared.

You can make a peace offering, like asking them to work on your computer, or play Dungeons and Dragons. Maybe that would appease them.

Umm, I prefer the term "geek", rather than "nerd". That would be a good start.

I thought it was a picture of Chunk from 'Goonies'. Either way.

Actually, he kinda looks more like Sloth from The Goonies

You could have found a better picture of Dr. Tynan, come on now.

I rather like the photo.

Hey C Monks, be careful when shopping and trying on clothes. I was at a Sears in Wisconsin and some dude, using his foot, pushed a Ronan Tynan CD under the wall into my dressing room. Then he tapped his foot and hummed a tune. I didn't know what to think of it, but I am staying away from any place that resembles a stall or enclosure. Shopping will never be the same for me.

RUN, DON'T WALK!... whenever you encounter this man. Be afraid, be very, very afraid.

Oh come on now, you know he's talented, sexy and intelligent. Just ask him, he'll tell you!

Posted by: njgirl at 03/09/2008 12:06 AM

...I still say that is the worst picture ever of Ronan, he is not that goofy or ancient looking.

Posted by: Anonymous at 03/16/2008 12:13 AM

Oh God, that picture is horrendous to say the least. Having seen Ronan perform recently, I have to say he is looking especially good these days. I think he's been working out or something. XOXO to RT

He couldn't look any worse. Not ever.

Posted by: Anonymous at 04/29/2008 12:05 AM

You mean in the above picture, right?

Posted by: njgirl at 04/29/2008 12:17 PM

What's a "midding blogger" anyway?

Posted by: Anonymous at 05/02/2008 11:01 AM

I think it's supposed to say "middling", but more importantly, why oh why has Dr. Tynan been missing at Yankee Stadium this season? I am not amused by this development, not even a little.

Posted by: njgirl at 05/05/2008 02:55 PM

He's missing at the stadium because he is a "fair to middling" singer...hahahahahahaha

Posted by: anonymous at 05/05/2008 10:32 PM

Rumor has it that our sweet little Jordin Sparks will be singing at some of the Yankee games. That is wonderful news. She is original, natural talent with authentic NY ties. She's been seen around town shopping with Haley, the boss's granddaughter. NY Loves You, Jordin!!

Posted by: YankeeInsider at 05/05/2008 11:38 PM

Hey "YankeeInsider": Any chance of you getting me a couple of tickets to the All-Star Game? It never hurts to ask. Anonymous: That is so not true and you know it...he's probably just been busy answering all his fan mail.

Today is Dr. T's Birthday, I know I speak for everyone here when I send out wishes for a very happy day and continued success. Rock on Ronan!!
