Further Proof That My Son Is Cuter Than Yours.

Was riding in the car the other day with Lil' Buddy when the Clash's "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?" came on the radio. I sang along fantastically until he interrupted me and said, "I think he is going to go."

"Huh?" I asked.

"He says if he stays 'they'll be trouble.' So I think he's going to go."

"Yeah, but if he goes the trouble will be doubled," I reminded him.

"Oh," he said thinking about this new bit of information. "Then I think he'll go. I don't know. I'm not sure."

"MAKE UP YOUR MIND!" I yelled. Then I pulled the car over to the side of the road. "WE'RE GOING TO WAIT HERE UNTIL YOU DECIDE IF HE IS GOING TO STAY OR IF HE'S GOING TO GO. I HOPE YOU'RE SATISFIED. GOD DAMN IT!"

This post is dedicated to Teddy.

Comments.

In a remarkably (or not) similar situation, my son said "he should go." Yeah, that's right, my son at least knows that half as much trouble is better than any other amount of trouble that's the double of it. It's like math, I think. But you should probably ask him.

What about "Takin' Care of Business"? My son used to sing that to me and my friend. He was 4. So I think this proves who had the cutest kid.
