Awesome. Just awesome.
Say goodbye to your money and expect to support a lot more of these people in these photos as they make the migration to the USA.
Don't be a buzz kill Sharon. Revel in the fact we will have a great president and for once in a very long time, the world respects the US.
Oh dear god, Sharon. Taxes and immigration? Is that really what this result means to you? The United States elects the first person of color as president and you're worried about taxes and immigrants? "These people"? Sharon, Sharon, Sharon!
I am thrilled by the fact that Obama won. We will not only have a leader but one who uses reason and seeks to understand not villify and divide.
The lyrics to a song from one of my favorite movies sums it up:
You're out of the woods You're out of the dark You're out of the night Step into the sun, step into the light Keep straight ahead For the most glorious place On the Face of the Earth Or the sky
Hold onto your breath Hold onto your heart Hold onto your hope March up to the gate And bid it open
It did.
Elle....was that Air Supply?
Shady, I'm surprised at you not recognizing the Optimists Song from the Wizard of Oz. :)
Air Supply - Oy!
I don't watch prison shows.
You'll have to expain the "prison show" comment. And are you admitting to listening to Air Supply?!? Double Oy!!!
That should be explain. Imagine me forgetting the l.
Oz
Thanks for the help Shady. As you can tell, I don't watch prison shows either. I do however watch the Wizard of Oz when it's on. As I said, one of my favorite movies of all time. I notice you didn't answer the Air Supply question.
it was the 80's, drugs were rampant
lol, how about we agree to let what happened in the 80's stay in the 80's? ;)
I don't think this is going to be as rosy as everyone seems to think. I hate W and I'm not a fan of of the GOP at this point but I'm not on the Obama bandwagon either. I hope that I am wrong.
I'm with Sharon. Also, voting for someone because he is (half) black is racist. And stupid.
Way to jump over the conclusions, Rebecca. They were quite high and you cleared them beautifully.
We'll save the argument about the definition of racism for another time. But I will say that it's perfectly acceptable to be excited that the US has made a great leap forward in equality by electing someone other than a white guy. (Is racism kaput, though? Sadly, nope.) I voted for him for other reasons, but that shouldn't preclude me from being thrilled that the family living in the White House is different from those that have lived there in the past.
And, yep, Sharon, I totally agree: It's not going to be rosy. In fact, it's going to be bad for many years to come. But thankfully we have (I believe) the best person to lead and guide us through these tough times.
Amen to that C.
That girl in the Phillipines is so excited she's decided to let the world look down her shirt. Hooray for democracy!
