I'll be reading from my book and trying my best not to appear like a nervous wreck at Brookline Booksmith tonight at 7 pm. Joining me will be two McSweeney's contributors, both way more famous and funny than I am: Ben Greenman and Dan Kennedy. As an added bonus I'll be auctioning off my old XBOX. It's really old and virtually obsolete, so that means it qualifies as "vintage." I'm thinking I'll start the bidding at $1000. Hope to see you there. And like I've said before, if you attend I'm 78.4% certain this will be the single best night of your entire life.

There's no need to be nervous, just try this trick I discovered years ago. An hour before the gig starts, find a quiet place where you can just sit and clear your mind.....then swallow a halcyon with a double rum & Coke and you'll glide right through the night.
