Snow Day Today.

Posted 01/28/2009 06:55 AM by cmonks in I Am So Much Better Than My Neighbors It Isn't Even Funny.

It's snowing and my lesser 3/4 are all home from school/work today. That can only mean one thing: Time to break out the Snuggies!

On snow days we listen to Enigma songs and wear our Snuggies ALL DAY LONG. Our family rocks the Snuggie like no family rocks the Snuggie. It isn't even close. We OWN the Snuggie. Even after Aunt Flo got her's caught in a combine. When it comes to sportin' Snuggies, we're the best. Aunt Flo wouldn't have it any other way. She'd want us to keep on keepin' on and totally rock the Snuggies. RIP, Flo!

Comments.

Every time I see that commercial, I feel all hate-y inside that there are people that freely exchange money for a blanket with two holes cut into it. It's not so much about their choice of ways to spend money, but more about the fact that they're probably allowed to drive and vote and talk out loud and have opinions and get pregnant/impregnate.

Can't you get the same effect with two blankets except you'll be able to walk?

Personally, I'd rather snuggle with a person, not a blanket.

they need a four-armed snuggie for two people....and a cup holder.
that's an untapped market there.

Isn't anybody else suspicious of the "book-lights" that come with the Snuggies? Look, they're practically giving the Snuggies away at $19.95, so something beyond profit has to be their motive! To me, the "book-lights" look like demonic robots that have been designed by some master race to impregnate our thoughts so that we, although warm, lose our free will, and march about as red-robed zombies, doing the bidding of our new Snuggies overlords.

Murray....I like your enthusiasm. You're an idea guy! The lights made me think, though, why not an electric blanket with two holes cut in it? You know, an I-snuggie. Anyone?

Posted by: shady180 at 01/28/2009 04:05 PM

Shady: I like your first idea but I think the cup holder would be superfluous. How about a way to give someone a virtual hug? You could call it a huggie-snuggie.

Posted by: elle at 01/28/2009 06:02 PM

I'd peek under *your* snuggie.......whoops, busted again.

Posted by: shady180 at 01/28/2009 06:04 PM

That's the best idea yet! How about putting that into motion!?! I'd also do the same to you.

You know when that woman was on the couch with her blanket, and she pretended like she couldn’t reach the telephone because her blanket didn’t have two arm holes cut in it?

It reminded me of when O.J. “tried” to get the glove on his hand.

She apparently couldn't figure out that her feet were cold because she had no socks on. Also, these things only work if you are sitting or laying down. The minute you stand up to get a snack your butt's exposed. Hmmm...on second thought.

Posted by: elle at 01/28/2009 07:06 PM

...and the more snacks you get, the more butt there is to expose. Who knew SnuggieWorld could get so complicated?

Posted by: simpleton01 at 01/28/2009 11:00 PM

Snacking is fine if done in moderation and doesn't always lead to tushie enlargement. :)
