Another Father's Day is in the bag. Ho-hum. I'd would have been more excited had I received gifts from my family that were more inspired. Homemade cards and framed pics of them? I should be thrilled by homemade cards and framed pics? I got those last year. And the year before that. And the year before that. Am I missing something? Am I supposed to be blown away by homemade Father's Day cards? Sure, the spelling and handwriting get better every year, but where's my fricking iPhone? And I see my little me's everyday, why do I need a framed photo to remember them by? Can I check my e-mail and tweet and take a picture of hot chicks I see at the Dunkin' Donuts with a framed pic? What's a dad gotta do around here to get something special for Father's Day? I don't get it. My family should be thankful I even bothered to come down from my man attic to receive their gifts. I give and and give and give, and this is what I get in return?
Drives me bonkers.
